Mine Equine Friend Alone I stand, ever so quietly; with none but mine equine friend a-calling out to me, she sings to me as summer twilights, forever one and free. She takes me away, away, away over the shadow cast hills, never to return again.
I breathe in her soft, sweet scent - we were far away from home, our shadows stand alone somewhere in my forgotten past. I turn to her; she longs to be free, ever sailing on the hills – one forever once again. I never saw mine equine friend, never once again, forever our shadows stand, warm with death’s embrace.
